THE KULU KINGDOM
This small human-led interstellar nation is a moderately religious society, with over 100 major and minor worlds within their borders. Their civilian and military technology is a unique fusion of local MDC crystals and psionics, with Naruni weaponry to fill in any of the gaps within their military. While the majority of the inhabitants of the Kingdom are human, they are not racial snobs like their Altess neighbors and outsiders and alien races are welcome. The Kingdom is a small but wealthy interstellar nation with "Star Age" technology and excellent relations with all of its neighbors, other than the Golgans who ruthlessly ruled all the Kingdom worlds just a few hundred years ago. Kulu Pre-History: genetically modified humans arrive on Kulu from CCW space.
588 PE: The entire Kulu region is overrun by Golgan forces, beginning a 1000 year reign by the Republik.
501 PI: The Golgan Republik begins to slide in to anarchy, losing control of many worlds, including the Kulu homeworld.

ALIENS WITHIN THE KINDGOM
Akaffi: also known as "the Gumby People", this plant-based alien race is immune to most weapons and they make excellent battlefield troops. Their homeworld is located in Kulu territory but they have not colonized other worlds for some unknown reason.
Bese: these rock-humanoids love personal hand-to-hand combat and each weighs in at over 800 lbs and 8 feet tall. Their homeworld is located on the border of Kulu space and they are much welcomed into the armed forces of the Kingdom, especially the ship-boarding marines. Unfortunately, they are slow breeders and exist solely on the sunlight of their parent star, feeding off its blue supergiant energy. This forces all individual Bese to return to their homesystem every 6 months or they wither away and die.
Danudes: the Danude Homeworld was destroyed nearly 500 years ago and the entire surviving race had been searching for a new planet to colonize, and they finally found one that they were compatible with inside Kingdom space. They petitioned the central Kingdom government for permission to inhabit the planet, called New Danude by the aliens. Kulu leaders agreed and the Danudes became a permanent part of the Kulu Kingdom.
Goww, the: this ancient race is revered and respected across the galaxy as gifted healers, aliens that are able to cure nearly every disease known to the races of the Three Galaxies. Being experts in biological healing, they were recently able to give some refugees of Machine People the ability to reproduce (these MP are currently hiding out in the Lance Pattern). A bird-like race, the Goww usually never get involved in any off-world wars but they guard their homeworld jealously; it is located off the beaten paths deep in Kulu space.
Kisents: a huge fleet of refugee ships arrived in Kulu space nearly 500 years ago, seeking asylum. The Kulu government granted the request, only to realize later that every single one of these aliens was a Kisent, that race of fabulous weapon-making aliens. Now, the Kisents make their deadly weapons for the armed forces of the Kulu Kingdom; they are never sold abroad.
Luren: a militant vampire race, these aliens are shunned by most races because of their disgusting habits of drinking blood from sentient species. Luckily the Luren have evolved enough to not drain a host completely and now pay humans and near-humans for "a bite". Overall the Luren are very aggressive and they effectively use their powers of hunting and stalking for Kulu commandos and special forces when in the military. Since they are so highly aggressive, the vast majority of Luren sign up for at least one tour of military duty within the Kulu armed forces.
Pantherans: this is a cat-like race that has been Uplifted by the Tolats, a species that specializes in creating intelligent life forms out of low-intelligence ones. These black-skinned ferocious humanoids are very very good at hand-to-hand combat and are much sought after as mercenaries and as boarding troops vs spaceships. The Pantherans only have one world, located deep in Kulu space. Population is 3 billion.
Siwannese: a peaceful aquatic race, these aliens have been strong supporters of the Kulu even since their incorporation into the Kingdom nearly 400 years ago. They have perfected both sonic and underwater weaponry, selling them mainly to the Kulu military. They have colonized six worlds near their homeworld and their population has reached nearly 10 billion citizens.
