URBANOS SECTOR
Branx: A race of powerful, tall rock-like creatures located in Sphinx subsector of Urbanos Sector, the Branx are highly valued among Republic military forces, especially the Marines. The Branx are exceptionally tall (10 feet) and are incredibly armored, able to take a tremendous amount of damage. Their homeworld (C8679787) is a high-population planet where fighting is endemic. Branx have a large number of off-planets citizens, spread across Republic space. Branx have served and fought alongside Republican forces since they were discovered over 90,000 years ago.
Bushi: A militant warrior avian race from the Bushi subsector of Urbanos Sector, the Bushi have been a significant force in Urbanos Sector and have had a long and glorious history, helping humanity in several of its more brutal conflicts. With powerful wings and a wry sense of humor, Bushi can be seen traveling the stars, visiting worlds across Republic space. The Bushi have no colony worlds but many of their citizens have been inducted into the Republics’ military forces along the Lower Orion Arm of the galaxy.
Hert: A genetically engineered humanoid race from Urbanos Sector, the Hert are an extremely militant race with codes of honor that far surpass any other known race. Hert look almost exactly like humans except they lack irises and they rule a small empire (the Confederacy). They once ruled a vast interstellar empire but were slowly ground down over time during the expansion of the Republic down this arm of the galaxy. Technologically the Hert have fallen upon hard times, plunging from an estimated super high tech level (perhaps TL23) to the current tech level of their homeworld (A89987A). The now maintain a small empire in Highseas subsector and the megapop world Alpha Santori currently keeps them in check.
Virh: A humanoid race noted for their long tails and their similarity to humans, Virh have a small empire (the Commorium) in Urbanos Sector. They are also very powerful empaths, able to feel and interpret the emotions of nearly every known race. Their homeworld (C8456A85) is heavily populated and many find work off-world, primarily among police and investigatory forces within the Republic.
