Atorees
Located in Calafate subsector of the Thundercloud Galaxy, the Atorees are an ancient race, dating back nearly twenty millennia. Atorees are a short, asymmetrical, four-legged humanoid race whose homeworld is nearly deserted and completely non-industrial. The Atorees have no other off-world colonies other than their homeworld, which is now entering an advanced stage of desertification. During their expansive history the fortunes of the Atorees has waxed and waned, and they have controlled much of the Thundercloud Galaxy three times in the past. Their fortunes are much less glorious now and all Atorees colony worlds have unfortunately died off over the centuries.

Chinko Republic
The best historical teachers in the Thundercloud Galaxy, the Chinko are widely famed for their teaching abilities and trading skills, as well as their frail constitutions. Chinko are salamander humanoids with blue skin and green eyes who stand nearly 6 feet tall. With few friends or allies, they appear to be extremely vulnerable to any armed conquest.

Dreamers of the Mists
A brutal race of octopi-like creatures, the Dreamers are mainly located in Towers subsector of the Thundercloud Galaxy. An ancient race who once dominated dozens of species and caused the downfall of the vast Skinny Empire, the Dreamers are now kept in isolation on all of their worlds since their hostility towards humanoid races has not waned over the centuries. Their homeworld has suffered from inter-species strife, plunging the planet to low-tech levels. The genocidal tactics of the Dreamers during the Skinny Wars (in which they slaughtered billions of Skinnies and other aliens) has not been forgotten by their wary neighbors. Dreamers are a bioluminescent race.

Kess'Rith Polity
A four-legged two-armed race with an ancient military tradition, Kess'Rith stand nearly seven feet tall and are a highly aggressive species. A dominant power on their home world, the Kess'Rith forcibly grew their sphere in the Thundercloud Galaxy until coming in contact with the Golgan Enklaves early on in their space expansion. Several brutal wars with the Golgans led to their eventual decimation and incorporation into the Enklaves. Now, as the Golgans are in decline, they are clearly in a position to expand their territory at other races' expense. Kess'Rith make fantastic ground troops but very poor pilots.

In'taq Dominion
A small bug-like race that has six limbs, In'taq are similar to wasps in appearance and are a female-dominated society. Based on the clan system, their government is stable but their small body size is their weakness, one they try to overcome with superior ship and crews. The nearly incessant clan warfare that has been the hallmark of their civilization has continued to this day, even as they have risen to the level of galactic sapience in the Thundercloud Galaxy. Experts at team tactics, their ships are designed along those lines as well and they apparently have no formal allies. Located in the ______, communications with the In'taq has been sketchy at best.

Iptomil
An alien race of desert nomads who in the past expanded to the stars, the Iptomil are a race of humanoids in decline. Their homeworld is currently in a state of eco-collapse and they have no colony worlds that can have helped prevent their home planets’ demise. Iptomil’ishi is a poor non-agricultural world and its’ natives reflect their planet, moving from place to place by the millions and having no permanent cities.

Jast Heirate
A amphibian race standing only four feet high, the Jast were discovered only 300 years ago as they reside in a pocket universe "below" our very own. Although not being industrially advanced, Jast are excellent at surveying and are highly sought after by survey teams. Ferocious opponents in combat, Jast are not very chauvinistic against other aliens, but their lack of exits into the Thundercloud Galaxy has made them strongly agitated and frustrated in the extreme. Ongoing border disputes with the In'taq and Kel'Rith have not been addressed, and anger continues to fester over transit rights out of the pocket universe.

Mqdrekkor Union
A tall scaly, reptilian race standing nearly seven feet tall and weighing in at over 300 pounds, the Mqdrekkor have a fearsome reputation in the Thundercloud Galaxy as blood-sucking creatures, which is really unearned as they can only drink the blood of iron-based races, but never without consent. Being wondrous artisans and musicians, they are able to replicate every racial tongue of nearly all races. They are also brilliant scientists, achieving breakthrough after breakthrough in famously stubborn fields of technology. They have no serious border disputes with their interstellar neighbors.

Rothori
A unique alien race, the Rothori are a multi-cellular race that can change their form at will, even to the point of slipping under a door or small crevices in the floor. Rothori live in small lakes on their homeworld (Rothori Zha) and the planet is non-industrial, poor, and literally one gigantic desert. These gelform aliens are also the galaxy’s best mathematicians and can only be found off-world in small numbers. Rothori are mainly located in Kingiss subsector of the Thundercloud Galaxy, have never colonized other planets, and the majority usually do not venture far from their homeworld.

Tolnep Empire
A former slave race of the Splugorth who were eaten by the millions by the rapacious their minions, the Tolneps are fanatically anti-alien and highly militaristic society. Appearing as a oversized 5 foot tall bug, Tolneps are greatly disliked by other races because of their xenophobic attitudes, as well as their notorious venom spitting. A socialist society, the Tolneps have recently declared war upon their former masters, the Splugorth. Once a client race of the Golgans, they have serious border disputes with all their neighbors.
