THE UNIVERSE OF BROKEN STONES
The Universe of Broken Stones is a vast pocket dimension over a billion kilometers across. It was created by an unknown race or entity long ago and is used primarily as a gateway to dozens of other dimensions, ones that have a dimensional barrier that is easily penetrated. The region itself is totally lifeless, other than a few scrub plants struggling to stay alive in the freezing temperatures that are unchanging; neither spring, summer, nor fall ever occur here although there are a few pockets of green here and there. The most distinctive features of this realm are a vast series of broken stones and obelisks, but none have any writing or art upon their smooth stone surfaces. Crossing the bitter cold lands is easy and a few travelers can be seen here and there, journeying to their own destinations. No intelligent beings live in the Universe of Broken Stones except Gules Lyon, the Great Seer. Looking at all the immense stones in this dimension, it is theorized that stone magic was once practiced here but the school of magicians has since moved onto greener pastures.
TEMPLE OF THE LYON
Located in the Universe of Broken Stones is its' only permanent inhabitant, an all-seeing golden lyon named Gules. A great seer, he is able to peer across all universes and for a price will give you information, but be warned: he is an untamed lyon, one that may answer your question or he may just eat you alive. His temple is mobile and never found in the same place twice; its located on the back of an ancient living tortoise. Since the Temple moves around, it would take some time to find it in the Universe of Broken Stones.
