The planet Phase World is located within the Three Galaxies, a cluster of three distinct galaxies. The largest of the three is the Corkscrew Galaxy, home to tens of thousands of distinct species and tens of millions of habitable worlds. Orbiting the Corkscrew are two companion bodies, the Thundercloud Galaxy and the Anvil Galaxy.
Phase World itself is a single planet near the heart of the Corkscrew Galaxy. It is the home of the Prometheans, a strange race who may or may not entirely exist within normal three-dimensional space. Phase World is home to Center, a massive enclosed city that holds more than half a billion people! Center is neutral ground, and so allies and enemies alike pass through it.
Beyond this neutral world lie many power blocs and planetary collectives. Some are allies, but many are enemies. The most powerful ones are the Consortium of Civilized Worlds (CCW) and the Transgalactic Empire (TGE). These two superpowers have been locked in a cold war for the past 500 years, and their actions affect everyone living in the Three Galaxies.
More about the planet Phase World: it has a total population of 5 billion beings, 70% of which are Prometheans. Center is a huge trading location and metropolis. It is the fifth planet of an aging red star, with a 22 hour day and 53 year orbital cycle. The temperature of Center and Phase World itself is tightly controlled and the method is secret. In general, non-citizens are confined to Center, a mile high arcology of a city. Numerous ley lines and nexuses course throughout this structure, making it a very magically active place.
