The Dwarven Kingdom of Delve Deep is famous across Orissa for making fantastic weapons and armor, of steel, and even magical silver (ie mithril). It has a large population to produce this armor and weapons; more than 150,000 people live in the underground city alone. Its' magically-enhanced mithril weapons and armor is some of the most prized on the continent, bringing extraordinary high prices (and resentment) at marketplaces everywhere. To defend their home and treasure, Delve Deep has a significant standing army that also includes many stone golems that can fight on command. Delve Deep is hidden in the caverns and ravines in the central continent and has never been successfully assaulted by any enemy force. Eventually the mithril mines will run out in several hundred years and then Delve Deep will become impoverished, but until that time the dwarves who call it home will thrive. Finally, the neighboring powerful Witch-King of Razorrock is the only enemy that the dwarves of Delve Deep truly fear.
