Armor Unpowered Suit: also known as a "APU". Used by the Grizzellan race in Sector Marines. Regular powered armor is very expensive and very rare.

Derep: a debarkation report, generally used by military personnel after a battle.

Diamondback Freighter: the most common medium-sized freighter in Sector 10 is the Yau'upnooza-class. The human version is called the Diamondback and has significantly more cargo capacity (+20%) than the standard design.

Drey: a universal food source created for consumption most races in the Sector. It is cheaply made and widely available.

Galvanium: a important mineral ore found on only one world within Sector 10 (Otoni III). It is vital for the production of advanced armor for warships.

Glint: the universal currency used across the Sector.

Hyce: the smallest intelligent mammalian alien race in the Sector. MORE HERE SOON

Incoherence: while travelling in the higher bands of subspace, a Heblonese spaceship can accidently hit a disruptive wave, making the vessel become instantly incoherent. The ship disappears forever and some speculate that the crew never dies, travelling the universe as a interstellar "Dutchman".

Invert: a homosexual person. Most major species in the Milky Way Galaxy have these sorts of individuals. In human society, they are still discriminated against so they hide whenever possible.

Lenderium: a vital fuel used by spaceships based in Sector 10, specifically for medium and short-ranged travel.

Lightworlder: opposite of Heavyworlder; someone who has grown up in a low gravity (or no-gravity) environment. They are unable to withstand "normal" gravity that the average human does.

Long John: A slang name for the medicine created by "xenosilicates" found on the waterworld Poseidon. Long John extends the life of most carbon-based aliens, sometimes by thousands of years depending on the race and the dosage. When available, it is a fantastically valuable cargo.

Marsbody: a Mars-like planet of low atmosphere and low gravity, and low temperature. Usually a worthless planet or a terraformable body.

Oddsmakers: the infamous bookies in Sector 10.

Omega Battery: location of strategic weapons (WMD) on a warship, and rarely used. These ultra-deadly warheads can be anything from antimatter, protomatter, teraton or dis warheads, or planet/sunkiller weapons. Most interstellar navies have capital ships that mount Omega Batteries; they are never found on smaller warships.

Pocket Universe: Also known as alternate dimensions and "baby universes", more than a dozen are known to exist within or parallel to the Milky Way Galaxy.

Recaf: a popular coffee-liked drink that has a high caffeine content. It is grown on dozens of worlds and used heavily among human military personnel as well as their civilians.

Rosebeer: the most common beer-like alcoholic beverage in Sector 10. Alien races that are unable to process ethanol cannot drink it.

Soypen: the best selling food product in Sector 10. It is cheaply made but is virtually tasteless.

Spore Mines: one of the best static weapons produced by humans and their allies. They were originally made for the wars against the Goog.

Spud: a nickname for a universal short-ranged personnel transport pod. They are used mainly at space stations and in orbit around inhabited planets.
