THE HALVESH
The Halvesh'oid Builders have a long and illustrious history as galactic patrons, and their technology and enormous influence reflect their long antiquity. They descend from a sea-based shellfish lifeform but they are huge, each being nearly ten feet tall and on average amassing 2,000 lbs. They are a gregarious race, 
getting along well with others but unfortunately their bodies let off an terrible stench that most humanoids cannot stand. Halvesh are widely known as planet builders, able to terraform worlds in a few weeks, repair badly damaged planets (usually by war), or create whole new entire planets to custom order (at enormous cost). They are rarely seen offworld, and then only when on "assignment", working on planetary projects or searching for new contracts in that area. The Halvesh have a nearly 10,000 history of creating worlds and have sold, made, or repaired hundreds of worlds within the Three Galaxies. When building a new world, they have gigantic planet-factories that come into the solar system and build the world from scratch, usually taking up to 5 years to create one. Terraforming a planet is much quicker, as is planetary repair; neither take more than a few months and the Halvesh are experts when it comes to city-planet management, especially of the ecosphere of such unique and incredibly high-population worlds. Finally, both the Virh and the Hert Federation are top employers for the Halvesh, with dozens of worlds needing terraforming; rarely is a planet built from scratch for either of these two races.

HALVESH TERRAFORMING TIMELINE
866 PE: The Halvesh finish their 100-year terraforming contract for the Chao.
564 PE: The three Atlantis waterworlds are finally finished.
351 PE: The once-powerful Chao are annihilated. The Halvesh rotate the worlds built by them for the Chao into a pocket universe, later reselling them at a huge profit.
251 PI: The Halvesh finish terraforming efforts in the fabulous Olympus System on behalf of the CCW.
377 PI: Construction on the jumbo-world Golden is finished by the Halvesh.
453 PI: Terraforming in the Ivy Chain in finalized.
489 PI: The city-planet Mycos' ecosphere is realigned by the Halvesh.
888 PI: After a fierce legal squabble, both the Virh and Hert Federations' secure a long-term contract with the Halvesh to improve their worlds.
940 PI: A damaging raid on the city-planet Kryptos occurs by Dionii forces, the Halvesh repair the damage within a year
988 PI: Daibei (a jumbo-sized world) is built by the Halvesh and later colonized by the Hert.
1250 IR: The Halvesh'oid Builders finish constructing Hickenlooper's Planet, a large artificial world.
1275 IR: Halvesh begin work on the Dusarra Dyson Sphere for the CCW; using hyper-advanced construction technology its' estimated completion time = 1000 years
1306 PI: The Halvesh begin rehabilitating bombed-out worlds in the Lance Pattern.
