As the city grew, it became the greatest of all Dwarvish accomplishments on Orissa. The almost endless halls, deeps, levels, roads, chambers, and pits are lit with glittering crystal lamps to keep the dark at bay. The walls, cut with marvelous skill from the living rock with scarcely a chiselmark, are adorned with banners, helms, shields, and proud spears of steel and silver set with gems. Far below, in the Deeps, patient miners work with pick and basket, while masons above continually extend old roads or new lofty chambers to the glory of the Dwarves antiquity. Immense veins of gold and silver also made Dwarven-Delve fabulously rich.
