POCKET UNIVERSES
A pocket universe (or baby universe) is something that is created by powerful alien beings or they are a "distorted echo of a organically created" universe. They are not however a parallel universe; that is a totally different space phenomenon. Such "baby universes" usually occurred spontaneously and some generally never last for long, while others last for millennia. Unstable "temporary pocket universes" are highly dangerous to most dimensional travelers; they can become  trapped there as the universe eventually collapses back into the quantum foam. Other pocket dimensions house alien intelligences and entire civilizations.

Examples of persistent pocket dimensions or baby universes are listed below:

Critters' Universe: is a small pocket universe, but little is known about it other than it is a alternate dimension that is located in the Anvil Galaxy, parallel to the Golgan Republik.

Endless Halls: is a pocket universe that has no concept of time. The undying dimensional being Spacia considers it the most "significant" of the universes she has created. It is kept inside her dungeon on Forlorn.

Garbage Pit Universe: appears to be an obscure pocket universe hidden in the recesses of the Megaverse and known to only certain dimensional travelers and races. As far as the eye can see, garbage is scattered to the horizon. The original land mass of the dimension is buried under hundreds of miles of junk, trash and debris. Phase World and the Great Machine both use the Garbage Universe to get rid of their wastes, along with dozens if not hundreds of other worlds.

Mordenkainen's Prison: is a endless series of underground tunnels buried in a distant pocket dimension. Only serial criminals from the Palladium World are sent to this timeless universe.

Pelbar: created millennia ago, this pocket dimension was made by the goddess Isis to provide sanctuary for women who were abused by men. It is connected to the Palladium World via a magical gem owned by the Emperor of Sin. This dimension is somewhat small in size, only 1000 kilometers across but it has more than enough room for the current inhabitants (87,000 people), all of whom are housed in Pelbar City: a ancient and beautiful stone and marble city that sits underneath a broad plain of very productive farmlands.

Ringpull: a dangerous species from the Dark Times was trapped by other races in a pocket universe called "the Ringpull". They were eventually released by Tolats after a millennia of repentance.

Selachee Three Galaxies Bank: their bank vault utilizes dimensional transcendentalism. The contents of the vault are contained in a pocket universe which can only be accessed by using the correct combination, which is changed four times per day.

Shadow-Space: is a artificially created pocket dimension that stores the consciousness of Naram starship crews to protect them during long-term warp flights.

Tal Traeth: also known as the Dimension of Books or the Dimension of Scholars, this pocket universe has been around for millennia and most likely will continue to be far into the future. It is an endless realm of bookshelves filled with books, scrolls, parchments, and maps from all over the Multiverse. It also holds numerous researchers and scholars that are studying these books, each for their own reasons. It was created long ago by the Egyptian God of Knowledge (Thoth) after his beloved library at Alexandria burned to the ground, taking with it countless valuable scrolls and books. Although Thoth has since disappeared, his library remains, a testament to knowledge and understanding beyond time.

Warhead: the Toxx keep a immense automated weapons factory in a pocket dimension, powered by energy drawn from the Big Bang.

Wormwood: the pocket dimension of Wormwood is a decadent, violent and deadly realm ruled by demonic creatures and evil clergy who control powerful kingdoms of monsters and enslave humans. Inhuman destroyers command the monstrous crawling towers and use life force cauldrons to build power. It is one of countless alien dimensions linked to Rifts Earth by the many gateways of the ley lines.
